LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT SHOULD AS A MATTER OF UTMOST URGENCY SHOULD TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORN BY BANNING OKADA MOTORCYCLE AS A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE STATE.
Some of us talk because we believe that you do not wait for Mr Experience to teach you because his teachings come with great pains, that is if he doesn’t take your life.
A few days ago I called for the ban on Okada (Motorcycle) as a means of transportation in Lagos-State.
I want to re emphasize my call.
The disturbances that occurred in Lekki phase 1 recently and at Ojo/LASU area (I’m told it’s still on at LASU recently) for me they’re just a tip of what I fear will happen if very good care is not taken NOW
Do you guys know the population of Okada riders from Chad, Niger, Togo and Cameroon in Lagos State alone and the Southern States in general? If you dont know let me tell you . Its quite huge.
They are all over Suru Lere, Ikeja, Agege, Akowonjo, Egbeda, Akute, Ilupeju, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Bananna Island, of course Lekki , VGC, Apapa wharf, Ajah are home to them.
When they will be given orders (GOD FORBID) they could easily form battalions of fighting soldiers to face our unprotected and un armed people.
They occupy EVERY uncompleted building and abandoned WORK SITE in all areas of Lagos and environ:
Ikorodu and Sorounding Towns.
Under the bridge at Kara, Punch and Magboro near Lagos, at Agbara in Ogun but also near Lagos.
People that will come to your town and will not seek accommodation.
You have no way or means of identifying them. They are highly mobile n could change base and location at any time.
They are not documented any where; neither Government nor the vulnerable elites that engage and patronize them has any clue not even a photograph or photocopy of their national Identity (They are all from Francophone) on how to find them if they HIT & RUN.
Ban Okada now, majority of them will go.
(They did during H.E Babatunde Fashola’s regim) Then efforts will be made to document and profile the ones left.
My estate for example does not allow occupation of uncompleted building by any body.
Laws could be made to such effect and implimented to the letter.
Asking them to go at once may cause a lot of political noise .
Let’s just tidy up our kitchen and flies will quietly leave on their own.
*Please spread this to government and its operatives.*
Do something NOW to save lives.
I dey fear ooo!!!
*PLEASE SHARE TILL AN ACTION IS TAKEN!!!*
