Time to rally together!
8th September 2021, is another date to remember as President Mohammadu Buhari appoints Chief Prof. Joseph Ugboaja as the substantive Chief Medical Director Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi.
Recall that early this year, Prof. Anthony Igwegbe took a bow after serving for two terms as the CMD of NAUTH
Ass Prof. Joseph Ugboaja; the substantive CMD NAUTH has already started breaking new grounds immediately he was made the Acting CMD NAUTH, highlight of which is the movement of the hospital to the permanent site.
Prof. Ugboaja hails from Ufuma in Orumber Local Government Area of Anambra State and holds postgraduate fellowships of the West Africa College of Surgeons and National postgraduate College of Nigeria among others.
What is special about the appointment of Prof. Ugboaja is that the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari has confidence in the not too young to run , because he is the youngest CMD since the inception of the Teaching Hospital and about the youngest in the history of Chief Medical Directors in Nigeria.
Prof. Ugboaja is a team player and enjoys the support of the staff of the hospital, entire Nnewi and neighbouring communities as he continues to break new grounds as the CMD NAUTH.
There is a need to rally round him for the full realization of the vision of transforming the hospital!
